Selma Rondon has been practicing Chinese Medicine for over 31 years.  She studied acupuncture and herbal pharmacology in the US and in China.    Early on in her studies, curriculum was not translated into English, so she elected to learn the Chinese language,  allowing her to live,  study and travel in China during the late '80s.  The lack of translated reference material in Chinese medicine offered Selma the opportunity to access treatment principles in the original text,  allowing her to apply these modalities in her practice.

Initially trained as a modern dancer, Selma opened a Brooklyn Heights exercise studio in 1979; where she taught modern dance and postural corrective exercises.  This experience sparked her interest in the relationship between chronic pain and alignment,  incorporating this knowledge into her  acupuncture treatment of sports injuries as well as other types of acute and chronic pain syndromes.  Additionally, Selma studied and practiced Shiatsu massage for years prior to her interest in Chinese medicine.

Selma's more than three decades of clinical practice has given her a distinct advantage and expertise in successfully treating a host of acute and chronic illnesses.  One of these being treating infertility and miscarriages.  Additionally, Selma's competence in treating pain, immune and neurological disorders, digestive health, gynecology, allergies, skin conditions and a host of other health concerns is supported by patient testimonials.

Selma's holistic initial consultation includes in-depth assessment of biological, nutritional, physical and emotional concerns.  Be it your first, tenth or decades after your first session, Selma's pragmatic approach to each treatment ensures efficacious and satisfying results.
